HELLO!

I’m Cristina Frías (aka CeFrías), an illustrator and graphic designer from the sunny Málaga, Spain. I create bright, playful and emotionally warm illustrations using bold colours, simple shapes and a contemporary visual language. My work often explores themes such as nature, animals, environmental awareness, inclusion, diversity or feminism, subjects that feel especially meaningful to me and that I love translating into images that are joyful, gentle and full of character.

I studied Art History and later specialised in Digital Illustration, which gave me both a strong visual culture background and a love for storytelling through images. Over time I’ve explored different creative fields, from videogame concept art to board games and children’s publishing, but illustration has always been the place where I feel most at home.

Before working as a full-time illustrator, I spent over seven years as a professional graphic designer, collaborating with companies such as Freepik Company and Innovación y Cualificación. During that time, I illustrated the children’s book “Caquita en la casa del dragón” for ExLibric, an experience that confirmed how much I enjoy creating worlds and characters for young readers. That background also means I’m very comfortable working with briefs, deadlines and collaborative creative processes.

Today, my illustration practice is focused on children’s publishing, editorial work and projects with a strong narrative or social dimension: from magazines and books to institutions and brands that value creativity, kindness and inclusivity. I love to create images that feel approachable and optimistic, while still being visually strong and memorable.
